The Good Earth by Pearl Buck gilt decorated leather binding (Edit)

Buck, Pearl. The Good Earth. Franklin Center, PA: The Franklin Library. Limited edition, 1977. Gilt decorated black leather covers, near fine except bookplate inside front cover. This novel is perhaps the first realistic look at twentieth century China. Pearl Buck was the daughter of missionaries and a teacher in China and wrote this story of Chinese peasants in 1931. She was awarded the Pulitzer Prize as the best novel published by an American author. I am sorry, this volume has sold -- but we have several shelves of very good gilt decorated leather bound books published by Franklin and Easton Presses.
