Church, J. M., editor. Daily Evening Chronicle. Volume I, Number 102, Providence, Friday Afternoon, July 29, 1842. Single large sheet folded into four page newspaper. Each panel is about 20" by 14". Folded into quarters, browned along folds, splitting along several of the folds, foxing, good. An interesting look at nineteenth century life in Providence -- lots of advertisements and brief news reports. Inside is a small illustration of ships announcing the arrival of the British Queen. The ads for bells and printing also have small illustration.
